Privacy policy
HockeyRatings has no user accounts and collects as little information as possible. This policy explains what, why, and how to exercise your rights, in line with Québec’s Act respecting the protection of personal information in the private sector (Law 25).

What we collect

We do not sell any personal information.
Advertising
The site may show ads provided by Google (AdSense). Google and its partners may then use cookies to serve and measure ads. These cookies are only set with your consent, which you can give, refuse or withdraw at any time in the consent window. Without consent, any ads shown are not personalized. Transfers outside Québec
Our providers (Cloudflare for hosting and security, Google for advertising) may process information outside Québec, including in the United States. We chose them because they offer recognized protection safeguards.
Your rights
- Request access to, correction of, or deletion of information about you.
- Withdraw your consent (advertising) at any time.
- Have a league listing removed.
- File a complaint with the Commission d’accès à l’information du Québec or your country’s data protection authority.
Write to us at the address above; we reply within 30 days. Since votes are anonymous, we may ask for your hr_voter cookie identifier to find yours. You can also simply clear your browser’s cookies.
Visitors from the European Union
Processing for votes, the league board and security relies on our legitimate interest in running the site and preventing abuse; personalized advertising relies on your consent. You have the rights provided by the GDPR (access, rectification, erasure, objection, restriction, portability).
Children
The site is not directed to children under 14 and does not knowingly collect information about them.
Changes
We will update this policy if our practices change; the date at the top of the page shows the latest version.
